Before the hand pump was installed in Solo's village in Madagascar, she had to collect dirty water from an unprotected spring. She didn't have time to go to school because she had to make multiple trips every day to collect water.
Access to clean water allows girls like Solo to live healthy lives and stay at school, giving them the opportunity to forge a positive future for themselves and for their communities.
“Thank you so much. What’s happening in our village is so great. The water is so clean and so fresh and the taste is so different from our old dirty source.” —Solo
